Hale Bookcases 100-year old reputation as builders of the finest bookcases was earned by establishing and maintaining exacting standards of craftsmanship and materials.
All wood selection, joinery, staining and finishing is still performed by skilled artisans. To meet Hale Bookcase's criteria of aesthetic perfection, wood stains are hand-sprayed and hand-rubbed between carefully applied coats.
During September 1907, Mr. F.E. Hale, a designer of sectional bookcases purchased the facility of Horracks Desk, incorporated the company and bookcase manufacturing started. Mr. Hale retired in 1918.
By the late 1960's, through the request of their customers, Hale designed and brought to market first, an open wood bookcase, 84" high with adjustable shelves.
Hale Bookcase's mission is to produce quality wood products at a fair price with total fair commitment to the customer and stable employment for the local workforce.
We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.
