Three of these bookshelves are lining an upstairs hallway in my 100 year old house with art hanging above. The 9" depth was key to selecting these to fit in the hall, as well as price. Almost disposable at that price. They aren't heavy duty. Shelves sag with full load of books. Great quick fix for book storage. Not for a living room. Would recommend to someone with the understanding that this is not fine furniture [...].
